GUIDE FOR AUTHORS

Types of contributions:
The Nigeria Journal of Agriculture, Food and Environment (NJAFE), is an interdisciplinary agricultural journal, a publication of Faculty of Agriculture, University of Uyo, Uyo, Nigeria. The basic purpose is to publish original research articles, review articles, technical notes, book reviews, case reports and theoretical papers may be accepted for publication.
Original Research Papers should report the results of original research. The material should not have been previously published elsewhere, except in preliminary form.


A Technical note is a concise, but complete, description of a limited investigation, which will not be included in a later paper. Technical notes should be completely documented, both by reference to the literature and description of experimental procedures employed, as a regular paper.
Book Reviews will be included in the journal on a range of relevant books which are very current. Book reviews will be solicited.


Case Reports should document a case or series of cases that are of special interest because of an unusual presentation, treatment, and/or diagnostic tool. Discussion should cite sufficient literature to show that the reports are truly unique. They should be as completely documented, both by reference to the literature and description of any experimental procedures employed, as a regular paper.

Submission of manuscripts:
All articles submitted to the journal must comply with these instructions.

Please note that Failure to comply may lead to return of the manuscript or possible delay in publication.


Manuscripts should be written so that they are understandable to the professional reader who is not a specialist in the particular field. Where contributions are judged as acceptable for publication on the basis of scientific content, the Editorial Board reserves the right to modify typescripts to eliminate ambiguity and repetition and improve communication between author and reader. If extensive alterations are required, the manuscript will be returned to the author for revision.
